After three weeks in Malaysia, the overriding impression is of a society at peace with itself. Three distinct communities – Malay, Indian and Chinese – living largely in their own communities, but coexisting comfortably, and just getting on with life. Everywhere people are polite and friendly – not just to us, but as a matter of course. Everyone smiles. It’s great! And colourful.
